With Your Support, We Make a Difference
At Trace the Lace, we are driven by love, loss, and the urgent need to protect others from the devastating impact of laced drugs. Donations will go towards creating meaningful, life-changing programs that provide healing, education, and hope.
Your contribution—whether financial (tax receipts provided), through volunteering, or corporate sponsorships—helps fund the following initiatives:
-
We provide compassionate, judgment-free spaces for parents who have lost a child to laced drugs. In these support groups, healing begins through shared experiences, mutual understanding, and connection.
-
Through public speaking, educational videos, and community outreach, our goal is to educate students, parents, educators, and the public about the deadly risks of laced drugs. We recognize that the human brain doesn’t fully develop until the age of 25. It is common for youth to think that they are invisible. With a toxic drug supply, there is no room for experimentation and error. Our core message will be clear:
“One pill, one time, can cause brain injury or death.” -
We advocate at all levels of government for increased funding to facilitate research gaps that will benefit those seeking addiction services and prevent laced drug overdoses. Evidence-based research to reduce the overdose epidemic and the devastating impact it has on our families and communities. We are invested in saving the next generation.
As a newly established charitable organization, we are now eligible to apply for government grants. In the future, these funds will assist in the prevention of laced drug overdoses, support for parents/families from their devastating loss from deaths or brain injuries, education on laced drug overdoses focusing on prevention, and research to promote immediate government-funded addiction services and overdose prevention. Our grant programs will include:
-
Planning a funeral is both emotionally and financially overwhelming. We will provide a yearly grant to a family who has lost a child under the age of 25 from laced drugs and is struggling with the financial costs of funeral planning
-
It only takes one minute without oxygen to sustain brain injury from an overdose. We will provide a yearly grant to support a family bringing home a child under the age of 25 with equipment costs that will support their health and recovery.
-
We will award a yearly scholarship to students under the age of 25 who are facing financial hardship and difficult life circumstances.
