FAQ

Will I receive a tax receipt?

Yes. Note that when receiving an 'advantage' for your donation (in this example, afternoon tea), the CRA requires us to deduct the value of the advantage from the total donation to determine the eligible amount for the tax receipt. Tax Receipts for this event will be issued for $25. 

What is the Refund Policy?

There will be no refunds.  We will use all funds for our mission - Shining the light on laced drugs and bringing a stop to the trafficking of laced drugs in our communities.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive at 2:45 pm for check-in.

What is Zeffy? 

Zeffy is a Montreal-based nonprofit that offers an alternative to Eventbrite for ticket sales.  Eventbrite's fees can be up to 10% of the ticket sale. This means nonprofits raising funds for their cause do not receive 100% of the ticket sale; at least 10% goes to fees.

Trace the Lace chose to fundraise on Zeffy to receive 100% of your gift. Zeffy is a Canadian nonprofit helping nonprofits! You will notice on your ticket checkout the option to leave a tip for Zeffy. This is how they make money: through optional tips from ticket buyers. You can choose to leave a tip or not.
